Here in this portion of my blog i will describe the child labour in South Asian region of the world.All the South Asian countries developing countries including India and Pakistan. In the southern Asian countries, the poverty rate is so high with the poor education system child labor is still prevalent. South Asia or Southern Asia is a term used to represent the southern region of the Asian continent, which comprises the sub-Himalayan countries and, for some authorities, adjoining countries to the west and east.There are eight countries in South Asia. These are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.India is the largest & fastest growing major economy in the region (US$2.049 trillion) and makes up almost 82% of the South Asian economy; it is the world's 9th largest in nominal terms and 3rd largest by purchasing power adjusted exchange rates(US$7.99 trillion). India is the only member of powerful G-20 major economies and BRICS from the region. Pakistan has the next largest economy($250 billion) and the 5th highest GDP per capita in the region, followed by Bangladesh and then by Sri Lanka which has the 2nd highest per capita and is the 4th largest economy in the region. India is the Largest country of the region and it has 3 times more the population than other countries of the South Asia. After India the Pakistan is the fast growing country. The rate of child labor in every country is highly depends upon the population of respective country
According to International Labour Organization based on officially available statistics, it is estimated that there are 21.6 million children, aged between 5 and 14 years, working in south Asia out of a total of 300 million children in this age group.
